We do admit that we are completely
tiny creatures in a big big world, don't we?
That this huge man-made craft we sit on
is just a little bigger than us
and a lot smaller than the cosmos;
That we are only two of millions people
willing to have some struggle
trying to survive in this urban jungle;
That we are just vacillating dust
unseen unknown unnoticed dirt in the air
somehow polluting in toto the atmosphere;
That, yes, we belong to those living things
who suck all creature-comforts dry
exhausting the old Earth in agonised cry;
That it's only by the Almighty's mercy
we can still relish this kinda joviality
of tasting nature's charm and beauty
before we are inevitably parted by mortality.
So, convince me, dearie!
We both undeniably agree, don't we?!
